In my short time of collecting antique fishing lures and accessories I have never claimed to be a expert. All I can hope for is that some of the information I have learned can be used by someone to further there interests. When I started collecting fishing lures and accessories it wasn't because I was overly interested in them, but more for my father who after years of fishing Bass tournaments and had come to the point of burnout. I asked him why not continue fishing tournaments? His response was why keep having to produce fish when he could go to the lake and relax. At the time I didn't really understand his logic or wisdom behind this, but like all good things time gives us answers. I never really got to fish tournaments like he did, mainly because it has become to commercial. I did get the pleasure of fishing three tournaments with my father, two take a kid fishing and the other a shriner's tournament. We never really did that good in the tournaments but just the thrill of being out there with my dad is something I hope I can Pass along to my children someday. That is something I can never repay to my Father.
Thanks again Dad
